An American author and illustrator. His works include *The Curious Garden* (*Fushigi na Garden: Chirithagariya no Shounen to Niwa*, published by Bronze Publishing) and many others. He has received numerous awards, including *The New York Times* Best Illustrated Children’s Book Award and the Children’s Choice Illustrator of the Year. This book was a finalist for the CLEL Bell Picture Book Award, presented by the Colorado Libraries for Early Literacy (CLEL).

Translated and Supervised by Yoshiharu Hidaka

Professor at Takarazuka University’s School of Nursing. He serves as a lecturer for LGBTQ+ training sessions hosted by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology, the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare, and local governments. He is also known for the educational DVD *Protecting the Lives of LGBTQ+ Children in Schools: Supporting Students in the Classroom*, which received the Ministry of Education’s Special Selection Award. Hidaka has made numerous appearances in the media, including NHK’s *Heart Net TV* and *Perspectives & Debates.*
