Originally published in the Netherlands as *Koning & Koning*, this book has been translated into nine languages, including English, German, Spanish, Danish, Czech, and Polish, and is widely read around the world.

With growing interest in LGBTQ+ issues in Japan, especially following the Shibuya Ward's same-sex partnership ordinance, there are still very few LGBTQ+ picture books available.

The translator hopes to use this book to introduce children to the idea of gender diversity.

With a simple storyline and fun illustrations, this book is perfect for read-aloud sessions.
