What is Oeko-Tex? (Oeko-Tex Association)

It is an international safety standard for textile products certified by the Oeko-Tex consortium, which consists of testing and research institutes in 24 countries around the world. A certification label can be affixed to products that meet safety standards. It is obtainable at all stages of fiber processing. It has become an important certification label in the European market, which is sensitive to hazardous substances. Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is a globally harmonized testing and certification system that applies to raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products at all stages of textile processing. Test items include substances prohibited or regulated by law, substances that may harm health, and substances whose safety has not yet been confirmed (precautionary measures).
