Keychain featuring the artwork created by Keith Haring in 1988, which became the symbol of "National Coming Out Day".

"National Coming Out Day" was established in 1988 to celebrate individuals who publicly declare their sexual orientation or gender identity. Currently, the concept has spread worldwide, with large-scale celebrations held on October 11th each year around the globe.

Keith Haring was an openly gay artist during the 1980s, which was uncommon at the time. In 1988, with the inception of National Coming Out Day, Haring created this artwork to serve as the symbol for the event. The piece depicts a figure stepping out of a dark place into a vibrant and colorful world. This work, which celebrates living as one's true self, is still recognized internationally as the symbol for National Coming Out Day.
